Materials: cotton, silk, lace, opaque and transparent fabric paint, fabrics with surface effects by artist and by the Textile Workshop, commercial fabrics, bamboo batting 

Techniques:  Sunprinting, photo transfer, piecing, fusible appliqué, machine and hand quilting

Artist’s Statement:

A very personal reflection on the “skinny” theme takes me back many years. Memory is aided by old family photos that show me and my four siblings, all genetically predisposed to a rather pitiable “all knees and elbows” look that made me, at least, terribly self-conscious.
