Inspired by a Quiltcampus.net class I took with the amazing Therese May and also the work of Andy Warhol, this was my repeated portrait. A gift for my son Sam, upon his graduation from RPI (Dec. 2008). Spike is our cockatiel; only Sam's ear appears. Piece hangs in Sam's house, and measures about 30 x 40". Includes Spike's feathers, lots of buttons, and some "Drunkard's Path" blocks made in a workshop taught by Carol Taylor.
